Los Osos homes are especially pleasing, as you can find nice single family homes and condos priced very low. You will find several homes for sale to choose from in all price ranges.
Affectionately known as “The Bear”, locals love their city and treat newcomers as if they lived there for years. Located just south of Morro Bay, Los Osos is situated on a hill above the Pacific Ocean and close to the water so you will find homes with panoramic ocean views. There are also estate homes for the discriminating buyer with Panoramic Ocean Views priced in the millions of dollars. Los Osos is a small town. The downtown area is about one mile long on Los Osos Valley Road. There are restaurants, groceries stores, drug stores, banks, churches, hardware stores, and coffee shops.
Because Los Osos, California is in an unincorporated area of San Luis Obispo County, there is no city government or a police department. There are community resources, such as a post office, a fire station, a library and parks.
If you enjoy outdoor recreation, you will not be disappointed with Los Osos. For starters, you can swim, surf, or walk on the beach. If you are adventurous, you can take a small boat, canoe, or kayak to the other side of the bay and walk over the Morro Bay State Park dunes to the ocean on the other side.
Los Osos is the gateway to Montaña de Oro State Park. The drive is amazing from Spooner’s Cove to Corallina Cove. You can also hike all over the park to the water or climb to the highest hilltop with an 8000 foot elevation.
If you like to golf, there is a huge, 18 hole golf course practically on the edge of the bay.
