Central coast schools in both San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties have ratings that are the best in the nation. It is important to choose a home in an area that has good schools even if you do not have children. Traditionally, when homes are situated in good school districts, the homes go higher in value over homes near schools that are not satisfactory. I would advise you investigate what schools are in the neighborhoods you are interested in and then determine if those neighborhoods have good schools using the ratings links.
